• Cleanliness: 7.5 The floor in our bathroom has some hair left from previous occupants on the floor. There were a few ants in the bathroom as well.

• Common facilities and services: 7.5 Workout facilities seemed small, but did not use them.
• Staff: 7.5 Very friendly staff at the front desk and housekeeping. We had paid for a bottle of Cava to be in our room upon arrival and it took us making the request two different times before we actually received it. Each time they seemed to have no idea what we were talking about even though it was clearly printed out on our invoice they had at the front desk.
• Quietness: 7.5 Could hear very little outside noise even though it was located in the middle of downtown.
• Room: 7.5 Our TV did not work when we arrived and had to be fixed.
• Value for money: 5 For the price would have liked to have had a cafe maker in the room.

• Positive: Location is very good, close to Metro which is very convenient, also minute walk to Aero bus terminus where travellers can easily go back to BCN Airport. Avenida Palace itself is attractive, room clean, tidy, comfortable and quiet. Bell-boy polite, friendly and helpful.
• Negative: The two female front desk staff made our stay very uncomfortable. Our stay was from Jan 23~30, 2011. They were both unfriendly, unhelpful and made us feel they looked down on Asians or women. Every time when we needed to take or leave our room key at front desk, they never looked at us, they never greeted us, they never have any face expression as though we were transparent. However, I noticed that these 2 female staff smiled and greeted other customers especially male customers. What a shame! This kind of front desk service has definitely spoiled the image of the Hotel.

• Common facilities and services: 5 meals for our business group tended to be the same.
• Staff: 2.5 Staff was not always friendly or helpful. Selective understanding of english.

• Room: 7.5 why two twin beds pushed together? Hated that, otherwise the room was nice.
