• Staff: 10 We had a room on the 4th floor with 2 balconies. Although we loved the views and area of the hotel, Puerta del Sol stays very loud at all hours if the night and we could hear it up in the room.

• Positive: Location, location, location!!! The hotel entrance was only a few steps from the heart of Madrid (which is the heart of Spain) so we were instantly in the middle of everything we wanted to see. Metro station entrance was only a few feet away as well.

• Location: 10 My family traveled with my elderly parents, and the centralized location made it very easy to visit all the sites without having to walk far.

• Staff: 10 The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. A gentleman at the front desk (I'm afraid I forgot his name) found a large taxi to accommodate our large family and many suitcases where we normally would have had to pay for three taxis. Thank you!!
• Quietness: 10 I was afraid that having a room overlooking Puerto de Sol would be at the expense of having too much noise. Was I wrong. The double-paned windows worked wonders to block out the street noise from below. I slept like a baby.
• Room: 10 The size of the rooms was quite comfortable and spacious; especially the three-person room we had for our boys. The bathroom also had plenty of room and all the modern amenities we needed.
• Value for money: 10 The Hotel Europa definitely exceeded our expectations, and was a great value for our money.
