• Positive: The location was excellent for exploring central Barcelona and the metro and tourist bus stops %27on the doorstep%27 made wider exploration extremely easy.

• Cleanliness: 10 Room cleaned each day - spotless
• Location: 10 Virtually at the head of Las Ramblas, and on the edge of the %27Gothic Quarter%27. Overlooking the Placa Catalunya which has a large metro station and bus stops.
• Common facilities and services: 7.5 Restaurant and internet service available
• Staff: 7.5 On the whole very welcoming and helpful (apart from one girl on reception who %27let the side down%27 a little)
• Quietness: 10 There was a little noise from the Placa Catalunya, which is only to be expected from such a busy square but this did not prevent a good nights sleep. Hardly heard a peep from within the hotel.
• Room: 10 Quite a %27modern-style%27 but very comfortable and decent sized room. Excellent view over the square. Large and extremely comfortable bed.
• Value for money: 10 Perhaps not the cheapest available but you generally get what you pay for and this hotel was worth the money.
