Expected the hotel condition to be much nicer for booking a four star hotel. Location was tough and inside was in desperate need of renovation (wear and tear and dated carpet/paint/decor) Have stayed at nicer 2-3 star hotels throughout France. Space and bed size was nice though and employees were kind and generous.

I cannot believe how lovely this hotel is. It's perfectly situated a stone's throw from the railway station, yet is so quiet and peaceful in the bedrooms. I never heard a single train. It is very tastefully decorated throughout. The bathroom is immaculate and so well thought out. The room itself has a safe, fridge, tea making machine and extremely comfortable bed. The TV screen is enormous. It's a grand old building that has kept it's charm, yet has all the necessary modern day comforts. The staff were amazing, so helpful and friendly. I genuinely didn't want to leave and move on. Really top class.

Great ambience with Art Nouveau style. Very interesting contemporay furniture juxtposed with A.N. boiserie. We had to walk thru clouds of horrid cig smoke to get to lobby. Front entrance is tacky & unimpressive; needs to be completely re-thought. Elevator(s) very cramped. Absolutely unacceptable food ---- UN-PLATABLE --- & service in evening restaurant. Breakfast is decent. Crepes & fresh fruit good. I politely & discretely mentioned my concerns to Manager who was very apologetic.
